About

Introducing Mikael Russell, aka The DJ Hurricane, a dynamic force in the world of entertainment and a maestro behind the turntables. Before the onset of the global pandemic in 2019, Hurricane made a strategic move back to the East Coast, setting the stage on fire with his unparalleled DJ services in cities like Morgantown, Pittsburgh, and Columbus.

Renowned as Mikael Russell among family and friends, The DJ Hurricane embarked on his musical journey at the tender age of 14, kickstarting the summer of 2004 in his hometown of Charleston, West Virginia. He made waves by spinning tracks at teen club parties hosted by The Beat 98.7's Leeshia Lee, with his very first gig attracting a couple of hundred party-goers. This initial success set the tone for his career, consistently drawing crowds to every performance and venue he graced.

Hurricane's sonic footprint extends across major US cities, including Los Angeles, NYC, Miami, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Charlotte, to name a few. Drawing inspiration from icons like DJ Jazzy Jeff and DJ AM, he has crafted a signature sound that captivates audiences and leaves a lasting impression.

Having shared the stage with notable celebrities such as Young Jeezy, Bubba Sparxx, Trey Songz, Waka Flocka Flame, 21 Savage, Chanel West Coast, Rich The Kid, Da Baby, and DJ Skribble, Hurricane has solidified his presence in the industry. His social networking pages boast a rapidly growing base of followers and fans, a testament to his magnetic stage presence and musical prowess.

In 2011, The DJ Hurricane made Morgantown, WV, his new home, strategically aligning with the vibrant atmosphere of Playboy Magazine's 2013 #1 Party School, WVU. By 2012, he became the official DJ for "West Virginia's Own" Ponce De'Leioun, the only unsigned artist to grace the world-famous Tim Westwood Show twice. Emceeing live performances and hosting mixtapes, Hurricane's multifaceted talents shine.

Not limited to the DJ booth, Hurricane ventured into event curation, establishing "Issa Vibe LA" in 2018, a monthly party that lights up the entertainment capital, Los Angeles, CA. Additionally, he made his mark in the acting world with a role in the independent film "Gifted."

What sets Hurricane apart is indescribable; he pours his heart and soul into every performance, delivering professionalism, high energy, excellent sound, and an unstoppable party atmosphere. With a career that spans genres and geographies, The DJ Hurricane continues to elevate the art of entertainment, leaving an unforgettable impact on all who experience his electrifying presence.
