Hunter & the Gators formed in 1991. Led by keyboardist/lead vocalist Hunter Gibson, a professional musician since 1982, this group from Jackson, Mississippi, plays a wide variety of music ranging from the fifties to the present.
The Gators can perform from a trio to a 6-piece band, with instrumentation including keyboards, guitar, bass, drums, and saxophone. They can also add a female vocalist. Their show is made up of Rock, Pop, Alternative, Country, and Blues covers, as well as some original songs.
All members of the band sing lead as well as back-up vocals. In 2011, Hunter & the Gators received a Jackson Music Award for Best Pop/Rock Group.

All the guest were having a fantastic time including me with the awesome music they were playing. I highly recommend Hunter Gibson & the Gators for any event where music and entertainment is needed!

October 27, 2011Hunter and the Gators have been a local favorate for many, many years, and with good reason... they deliver. Whether it's Old Standards, Classic Rock, or Current Hits, people in the audiance get to hear what they want to hear. These guys are talented professionals who take their job seriously, but they are also the nicest, friendliest group of people you'd ever want to meet! They have a large group of "regulars" who range in age from 20 to 80, and no one ever leaves disappointed.

October 25, 2011We booked Hunter & the Gators for our wedding and they were absolutely fantastic! Everyone after the wedding was asking where we found the band.They put on an absoultely great show and they sound very very good. I would highly reccomend Hunter and the Gators for any occasion. They play a very wide variety of music that caters to all generations and ages. My wife and I, and all of our friends and wedding party were all dancing along with all of our parents friends.
