Our son had a great first experience and introduction to horsemanship and riding. He was so excited to finally be able to ride a horse/unicorn and loved being around Brownie and the other horses.

We originally signed up for the group class but when it didn’t meet the minimum number to take place I reached out to Liz about alternate arrangements. She promptly responded with some options for a private, 1-hour session at a great price. We traveled to the location Sunday evening and were impressed with how beautiful the farm was.

Liz gave our son a hand-on lesson on how to lead a horse, the different brushes to clean their coat and hooves, putting the saddle on, and mounting the horse before he got to ride. Her care and love for horses really came through and she was a kind and patient teacher.

Thanks for giving our son a memorable experience and look forward to doing it again soon.

What an awesome experience! We used Hogback Mountain Pony Rides for my daughter’s 3rd birthday and it was perfect. We had kids there ages 3-11 and our unicorn pony, Dutch, couldn't have been more perfect. He was gentle, patient, and beautiful. I would highly recommend Elizabeth (owner) and Hogback Mountain Pony rides. Great communication, kind, flexible and everyone had a great time including the adults.

We hired Liz and Brownie for our daughter’s birthday and we had the best experience, ever! Liz was so great, kind and patient with all the kids and easy to work with. She was responsive to her emails/texts and really honored our rental agreement. Brownie was such an amazing horse too and was so good with all the kids and noise! We are so glad we had such a fun party with them and highly recommend to anyone and everyone!!

Very professional, timely and communicative! It's obvious that the welfare of the ponies and safety comes first which was important to us. Hogback Mountain pony rides is a wonderful company, and we highly recommend them! They were a huge hit at our daughter's third birthday party.

Liz and her unicorn Brownie made their way to our youngest’s birthday party here in Maryland yesterday and it was a big hit! Brownie was calm and seemed completely comfortable around the gaggle of excited preschoolers and Liz did a great job of making sure the kids got the full experience, while still keeping a safe environment. Each kid was able to ride Brownie and she really took the time to make each ride special. 100% satisfied with this lovely experience.
