You can expect a great time along with fantastic photos!

Hi, I’m Daniel and I am the lead photographer at High Ridge Photo. I bought my first nice camera in 2010. I was a college student and definitely spent way more than I should have on it. However, I am so glad I did. That camera is still in my bag and has given me some of my favorite shots. In the fall of 2010, I shot a picture of my best friend and his wife, fiance at the time. I thought I was a really awesome photographer when they took that picture and printed a huge copy of it. I had stumbled upon a great picture, but I had so much to learn. They say it takes 10,000 hours to become an expert. I feel like between photography courses, YouTube videos and taking pictures, I am getting pretty close to that number. I’ve shot thousands of photographs. I’ve tried landscape photography, real estate photography, and even nature photography. Nothing gets me as excited as portrait photography. Since I was a kid, I have always wanted to be with people. I love hearing their stories and telling my own. When I picked up that camera for the first time, I knew I was going to take pictures of people, but I had no idea it would lead me here.

I love taking pictures of people in all stages of life. Some of my favorite photos came from the newborn pictures of my niece, Nova. Some of my other favorites came from photographing a 60th-anniversary celebration. I love weddings because there are so many people, and (almost) everyone is so happy.

One of my goals in life is to be a protector. I always love the underdog, unless they’re playing the Cardinals. I have a little sister and my parents taught me I am supposed to protect her. That carried over into every other aspect of my life. As a gamer, I play the tank, the person who gets none of the glory but takes all the damage. As a football player, I played lineman. As a photographer, I protect your memories. From the moment I arrive, I want you to have the best time when I am around. A photo can look great, but you still may not like it if you have a bad memory from the time it was taken.
