Celebrating our Southern California weather, and great 80's music, High in the 80's plays some of the best live music you will hear. With both female and male vocals, songs include the 80's favorites like Blondie, B-52's, Pat Benetar, David Bowie, Cars, Cure, Devo, Duran Duran, Go-Go's, INXS, Missing Person, Police, Pretenders, Stray Cats, Romantics, Talking Heads and U2. High in the 80's extensive song collection of over 120 songs, and also adds music from classic rock to current songs. The usual reaction? Every song is greeted with "Oh, I love this song!" If you want to have your group tap along, sing along, or dance along to every song, High in the 80's will make it happen!

High in the 80's is a high energy cover band that aims to get people up on their feet and dance. We are a completely live band and focus on the music. We do not dress in costumes and play along to backing tracks the way many 80's "bands" do. We can play a song longer if people are dancing, mix up the sets, and even allow audience members to sing a song if they want to. Our song selection usually is met with "you guys play the best music". We keep it fun by playing lots of favorite's that aren't typically covered by 80's bands like Missing Persons, B-52's, David Bowie and Devo. Of course we play a solid mix of the well known 80's tunes as well.
High in the 80's have been performing together since November, 2013. Our members are all friends that came together in Orange County, California through a mutual love of 80's music including new wave, 80's alternative and 80's pop.
High in the 80's will typically provide lights, a PA system and house music for before and after our performance. We can also bring professional sound and lighting staff where needed, depending on the size of the gig.
