Hierrito grew up in Cuba playing the Cuban tres taught by his mom who fostered his love for music. He attended the Jose Maria Ochoa Conservatory in Holguin. His performance experience includes founding in Cuba of Trio Union, Las Neiras group, and collaborations with the renown Arara group from Cuba.
