I will ask you many questions about the event and venue so I can plan accordingly. If fire is a choice prop, I will need to know what the floor or ground and space situation is. When arriving at the venue, I will need to usually be shown the dance location then to a place where I can put my props and belongings. Then I will need to know who to speak to, a DJ usually, about the music and performance schedule. I will also need to be shown the guest of honor if there is one so I can pay attention to them more than anyone else.

For the actual performance, you are just as likely to see me at Uncle Jerry's retirement party as you are on stage at a local festival. I love performing at all types of venues and transporting my audience away from the worries of everyday life to a place of ancient history, mysticism and legend. I am just as likely to show you a place where tradition has evolved to show the most entrancing aesthetics of all cultures. I use a variety of props including fire sword, fire fans, palm torches, wings of Isis, veil, zills, candle tray. It's not all about the props (although they are so much fun). I enjoy simply focusing on on traditional and fusion movement as well and know how to dazzle a crowd with skilled technique reflecting my 15 years of training study and performance.

I studied classical ballet and European Folk dance for 11 years by practicing and performing with a troupe of folkloric dancers. I spent 7 years performing in a duo of belly dancers. Both groups did our own shows on stages and smaller venues, many of which were private residences. I taught belly dance for about 3 years.
