Health Equity Speaker

Over 50 million adults are experiencing a mental illness. Over 12.1 million adults have reported serious thoughts of suicide. My mission is to change narratives around Stress, Trauma, Mental Illness, and Suicide one conversation at time.

I am a Medical Sociologist with over 20 years of expertise in exploring Black Americans' lived experiences. As a health equity researcher, I also work to reveal the devastating impact that race-based and gender-based stressors can have on the mind and body. I am also a certified to provide QPR Gatekeeper Training for suicide prevention geared for audiences up to 30 people.
