December 9, 2025Hosted my son's 18th birthday party
Our crowd was a mix of high schoolers and adults, and Hari was entertaining across the board. He presented himself very well, and was super flexible as our agenda changed on the fly during the party.
Prior to the event we had several text exchanges and a couple of calls to make sure everything is in order for smooth execution. Hari was communicative and patient through the whole process. I would recommend him for future events!

Hari was unbelievable at our event! He was our Race Announcer for our Bubble Run we hosted. He was enthusiastic and entertaining the entire event. He arrived early and was very prepared! We enjoyed him so much he's booked for our upcoming Muddy Dash we are hosting at Alameda County Fairgrounds! :)

What to expect
I speak English (and also Tamil and a decent bit of Spanish and a wee bit of Hindi). I have hosted the following types of events:
1. Trivia nights - over the last couple of years - typically at the South and East Bay. I have hosted 25+ events so far in different venues bars, pubs, breweries, restaurants, etc.
2. Improv (improvisational theatre) - six plus years of Improv'g at Mountain View and occasionally leading the Improv night
3. Emcee/Master of Ceremonies at college symposiums (technical) or cultural events (featuring music, dance, entertainment and being QuizMaster)
Open to:
4. I am open to hosting wedding receptions, alumni meets, Indian events and any other event which requires an Emcee who can interject a splash of comedy into the event while hosting it
5. Standup - Limited experience thus far (have performed in Florida/CA) - I am looking to accumulate more experience here.
About
I have been in the Bay area for the last 12 years. I am engineer by profession (hardware/storage/customers). I was born and raised in Chennai, India and grew up with a lot of family, sunshine, street cricket and fun at school and college. I moved to the US for grad school (Arizona State) and moved to CA after graduating to explore work opportunities.
My passions outside of work include the great outdoors (hiking), playing sports (primarily cricket, but also running and bits of tennis/soccer) and public speaking (trivia hosting, improv acting, Emcee'g, toastmaster's and more). My extroverted nature and enthusiasm for public speaking has led me to explore opportunities around hosting, emcee'g and beyond!
