Harini S Raghavan

An Indian sound in a contemporary Western setting, grooving numbers and floating melodies to lush electronics. We have a variety of songs ranging from Blues, Rock, Indian folk to Indian classical. You will hear multiple languages apart from English.

Leading an international cadre of musicians, New York based, Chennai born singer, composer and violinist Harini “Rini” Raghavan creates her own version of Indian electronica. Harini draws from her formal training in Carnatic music and work at Berklee College of Music in Electronic Production to bring together sounds and music of her birthplace in India and her home in the US. An experienced performer and recording artist, she has recorded and performed with Grammy winning composers A.R.Rahman, Bill Whelan and the renowned Israeli Singer-Songwriter Idan Raichel, headlining prestigious festivals and venues in US and India, including Boston Symphony Hall, Lincoln Center, Beacon Theatre and the United Nations General Assembly. Rini's song 'Serene' was nominated by Independent Music Awards 2019 in the 'Best World Beat Song' category. She is also currently working as a composer on the Netflix Show 'Finding Anamika'.
She is a featured soloist and choir member of the Berklee Indian Ensemble. She was featured on violin in the video ‘Jiya Jale’ that has 4 million views to date. She has toured with the popular Indian singer Karthik in Chicago, Detroit and the Bay Area, California as a strings orchestra conductor, arranger and a solo violinist.

Harini's voice and violin will run through her audio interface and laptop. She will have additional electronics going on as well. All of these will be on a stereo output from her interface.
We will additionally have a Cajon for percussion apart from the Drum Set.
