What to expect
If you want people to be drawn in and spend money, Hanna is highly recommended (she has been called an "asset to the Joyce" by owner Tommy Byrne). If you need a PA system and sound man Hanna has you covered. No gig is to small, Hanna makes the smallest gathering seem big and extravagant. No gig is to big, Hanna has entertained thousands at public events like Santa Barbara Solstice, Earth Day, and the Memory Walk. All of the musicians and engineers Hanna works with are professionals with years of experience.
About
Coming from 700 years of entertaining, Hanna has the entertainers ability to heal the woes of everyday life. She grew up alternating between singing and dancing and sometimes both. In 2006 she moved to Santa Barbara. There she met Ulysses Jasz they schooled her in the ways of antique pop. Now a decade later Hanna and Ulysses are a household name in the southern California jazz circle. Hanna can croon and belt just like the greats. Live band with Fabulous Vocalist specializing in antique pop from the 20's and 30's. Alex Marshall is the guitar and banjo playing leader of the band. The frontline consist of world renowned tenor sax and clarinet genius Bob Efford. Next in line is the much sought after trumpet player Curt Sletten. Last in line but definitely number one on the smoothest trombone you have ever heard Larry Jones. We have two drummers (but most gigs only have room for one) Larry Fisher & Rene Martinez. Dean Dods of the Santa Barbara Dods musical dynasty on bass. Leonard is the new guy on piano. In 2009 husband Cory Ross joined the company as sound engineer. They have packed the James Joyce every Saturday night for over 16 years!

Hanna requires space for the number of musicians you want and an outlet and space for her sound man if you need him. Hanna has state of the art sound, the engineer mixes wirelessly from anywhere in the venue via Mackie mixer with iPad control. We offer audio recordings of your event. From the best mans speech to the eulogy of a loved one, or maybe you just want to dance to the songs from that special night over and over again, use our PA we can produce a professional recording.
