Hair Force One - Amazing!

When trying to plan the perfect 40th birthday party for my spouse, I looked at many different options, including Asian Kareoke, an outdoors party around our tiki bar (with several space heaters) in January. I also play in several bands, with many professional musicians, (including some with music all over Canadian radio) which would have definitely been up for playing at the party.

Then one night, we happened to catch an HF1 at a local venue and we both appreciated the high level of musicianship from every member of the band, the stage antics, the way they assumed their role (80's rock god persona), the song selection and the flawless reproduction of these songs. She never expected this kind of party, which made it extra special last weekend when they hit the stage.

Most of my very talented bandmates were at the party. Everyone of them was extremely impressed with Hair Force One. From authentic keyboard intros, pounding drum beats, flashy drum fills, screaming harmony guitar solos, perfect harmonies and the crazy vocal range of Cousin Sergei, the music was solid. Then came the banter in between songs and the cheesy segue to lead into another hit. The delivery was perfect to reflect the 80's era. We could not have asked for more... but we did! The boys had actually adapted their script to tailor it for the event. The managed to include as many comments about the birthday girls and the event as they could, without taking away from the show, but actually adding to the show.

However, the thing that impressed me the most was their professionalism. I had been dealing with Mike over email for the last 3 months in order to get all the details worked out. Communication was great and we developed a pretty good relationship. I still expected the rest of the band to be the "typical rock band", you know, a bit standoff-ish, egos, etc. Was I ever WRONG! They showed up at the venue for set up, on time. They all knew my name. They were all helping out with set up (I provided sound/lighting production), all while joking and making everyone in the room feel right at home. On break, they walked around the room and talked to anyone in the room. At the end of the night, they struck their gear and help me to strike the p.a. system and lights and load in my trailer. What would've taken me 2hrs by myself was done in about 20 minutes. The only "ego" or "attitude" you will see from these guys will be while their on stage, as part of their act.

I was looking to throw a great birthday party for my spouse. I ended with an amazing night for her, myself and 70 of our closest friends. And I made 8 new friends in HF1 (6 members and 2 soundmen). ALL CLASS!

Do yourself a favor. Go catch their show. And if you really want to impress your crowd, book them for your event. People will be talking about it for a long time.

These guys look fantastic on stage and sound even better!

Hair Force One has got to be the best Hair Band I have ever seen! They are performers, sound and look like they are right out of the 80's and very engaging with the audience as well! They can play all the Classics and have great original material as well! Very professional and a "class act".
I would recommend them to anyone that has live music and wants to target that 40 something crowd (the ones that most likely have some $ to spend).
Hair Force One is truly the real deal, you won't be disappointed!

We recently held a show with Hair Force One playing at our club. They were fantastic! Great singer with really good stage presence along with a really tight band. They played all the hits. That's what patrons like. They want to hear their favourite songs and want them to sound like the originals. Hair Force One delivered! This band is a must for anyone looking to entertain and to be entertained. For 80's and 90's Glam Rock and Hair Metal at it's best, Hair Force One is your first class ticket down memory lane.

About

Once Upon an 80’s Time… Oh yeah, we’re flash-backing’ waaay back. Hair Metal bands rule the airwaves with booming drums, screaming guitars and shrieking vocals. Their clad was zebra spandex, hot leather and towering Icy Mist Hair Spray. Eye liner was their war paint. Their weapons; booze, cocaine, and guitar riffs so hot they'd cut through your soul. Sex, drugs, and rock and roll was more than just a motto - It was a guarantee!
And our boys – then called Hair Nation - were deep in the thick of it all, partying non-stop! If there was a war on drugs, these guys were chronic draft dodgers. Good times, all the time.
But a decade of decadence and over indulgence comes with a price tag and unfortunately sometimes a toe tag...
Right when they thought they were headed for the big time, Hair Nation’s bass player Skin E Bonze headed for the big sleep. After a week of failed auditions they all agreed they'd never find a worthy replacement for not only their bass player but for the best damn song-writer the boys had ever seen...
Band morale was at an all-time low as they faced both musical and financial ruin. For the first time after what seemed to be a pretty good run, the boys were talking about packing it in. Hair Nation went into a downward spiral that ended with them living in a rustic cabin in the Canadian wilderness for a soul-searching weekend that ended up lasting twenty years.

They may still have been shacked up in isolation if it wasn't for fate finally catching up to them when Swedish bassist Iamza Fauker knocked on their door holding their Hit Parader ad from 20 years earlier. When the band realized he was serious, they concluded that it must be their destiny to put the metal train back on the tracks - Big time!
And that's exactly what they did. They banded together stronger than ever. As crazy luck would have it, they connected with retired producer Justun Tyme who - upon hearing the band - jumped at the chance to get on a train, take the wheel and provide the seasoned navigation required. After a successful Crowd Funding Campaign which raised the band 13K, Hair Nation went into the studio with a four killer track set for a new EP. All New. All Metal. All Fk’in Right!
The passion and confidence was back but fate is a vengeful beast. When lead singer Sy Kotik won the lottery he did what any wrinkled liver rocker would do - he relocated to Hawaii. In his wake he left an incomplete EP and a heart-broken band.
When it rains it pours... Hair Nation were served a cease and desist notice claiming in the twenty years they were busy eating Canadian bacon and shot gunning real beers – or was it shot gunning real bears? - someone out there took the name Hair Nation! WTF?!?!?
So with no singer and no band name the boys hit rock bottom... The bad news about hitting rock bottom is you're at rock bottom. The good news is you're at rock bottom. It can’t get any worse...
However it happened, someone in the band had a moment of clarity and suggested Iamza contact his cousin Robbeo in Sweden who was an excellent singer and above all, ready to rock. In fact Robeeo had been rocking so hard for so long he had already developed a killer online presence and this was good, because the band needed to tap into this considering they had nothing. Things were finally looking up, way up...
With the EP ready to roll out, the boys just needed a name to slap across the front. They wanted something that could demonstrate the sheer power and awesomeness that was gonna blast you in the face. Like a brand new jet engine hitting the high notes, that's what these guys had coming down the pipe. Clear for take-off. Flight is alive and into the climb. Full ahead, mach speed!
It was HAIR FORCE ONE.
