About

Gwendolyn Fitz is a jazz pop singer-songwriter whose main focus is writing cute songs on her ukulele that will make the listener feel as if they're the main character in a romcom. Apart from performing her own songs, Gwendolyn enjoys playing tunes from the 1920s-40s, and dressing in period costume as well. Gwendolyn can also write a special song for your event or play a top 40 cover as well.

Gwendolyn Fitz is also an award winning musical theater composer, and has taken home "Best Show with Music" at the 2021 Pittsburgh Fringe Festival and also won a City Artist Corp Grant to stage a live performance of "Ease of a Murder" in NYC. Gwendolyn is currently developing a new musical based off her song, Friday Night in a Bookstore.

Apart from composing and writing songs, Gwendolyn also enjoys teaching the ukulele, and has helped more than 100 students to begin playing the magical four string instrument.

Additional booking notes

I can perform without electricity and provide my own PA for small events. For events in bigger venues, I would need the venue to have a soundboard I can plug into. If the venue doesn't have none, I would need to know beforehand so I have enough time to find one.

Set list

I can play any song from the American Song Book if given a week's notice. Here are the songs I know from memory:
1) La Vie En Rose
2) Cheek to Cheek
3) The Nearness of You
4) I'll See You in My Dreams
5) Dream a Little Dream of Me
6) Fly Me to the Moon
7) On the Street Where You Live
8) Let's Misbehave
9) Ain't Misbehavin'
10) The Very Thought of You
There are more...you just have to let me know your requests beforehand!

Influences and inspiration

I consider my music to be a cross between Nora Jones and Ingrid Michaelson.
