Guitarist / Singer

I sometimes play sitting on a stool as well as standing up. I usually use 1 mic stand. May have a couple guitars and for sure have some harmonicas. You can excpect a professional conduct and approach to make your event as pleasant and memroble as it should be.

I've been playing guitar since 9 years of age and I'm now 57 so about 48 years I've been on my music pilgrimage. The music I play usually reflect songs I grew up hearing or enflunces that came along the way.

Growing up there was a lot of music heard in our home. Being the youngest of four I didn't have much say in the the music selection so thier music was my music. It was the early 60s and with my siblings it was none other then The Beatles! Also popular was the Motown sound & basically music from the 60s. Also the music from my parents generation including Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennet, Judy Garland or the big band sound were played in the home. It was songs from that time frame or ara that influenced and swayed me. As an instrumentalist I find myself arranging songs from those golden formative years.

As for my training, it was self determination, alot of practicing and preforming. My first performance was in the 6th grade in front of my hometown school in Brentwood Ca. About 300 people heard my song called "The Robert Aguirre Blues" I continued writing my own compositions and learning others material. In the 8th grade I became good enough as a bass player to play in bands. In high school I took college prep courses of music theory for all four years and played in many bands in the San Francisco Bay Area.

I play guitar, harmonica, bass, percussion, and some piano. I also have a good vocal and enjoy singing a lot! I've recorded 4 CDs some of them can be found on iTunes, Amazon & Spotify also uTube & Facebook. On my CDs I play all the instruments and sing the vocals. My influences are broad from Bach to Rock! On the guitar I'd have to say its been Chet Atkins & Tommy Emanuel that's influenced me the most. As far as composers and other sources of influence & inspiration I pull from a broad sorce ranging from The Beatles, Stevie Wonder, Henery Mancini, Phil Keggy, Burt Bacharach, Crosby Stills & Nash, Carol King, Herb Albert & Gospel Music to name a few!

I reside with my 3 dogs in Lake Humphrys Oklahoma near Marlow. My last CD was named after 2 of my dogs intiteled "Dos Chihuahuas" because of the therapeutic help they are to me. I Can be reached at (phone number hidden)
