My musical career began at the age of 16 where i performed as a guitar in a gospel band in my home town of St Louis Mo. At the age 19 I enter The Clayton Academy of Music (a branch of Washington University in St Louis) to learn jazz guitar. From there the sky opened up. I performed with Oliver Sain, Chuck Berry and The Robert White Band .
In the 80`s, I moved to Ft Laud Fl. From there I was employed by
Damine/Natlie and The Factor for as a Musical Director /Guitarist and Lead/Backing vocalist. We worked for:

The is a rockumentory about the journey movement of the american music and it`s influence on
on musicians and music around the world. Truly a show for everyone. Derek will Rock you through the Ages.
The show can be performed in different formats. As the lead vocalist and guitarist Derek performs this show:
1)As a single artist with ultra quality sound.
2)A three piece(Bass and drums(both bassist and drummer are vocalist as well)
3)A five piece including(Bass, guitar ,keyboards and drums.
4)10 piece including, (guitar, bass, keyboards drums, sax, trumpet, trombone and 2 backup vocal.
Either way you receive a fine energetic performance.
We are also revealing a certain history of the blues music to enlighten audiences about uniquely American genres including Blues , Rock and Roll , Country Latin and Popular muisic while performing the ever popular songs from each one the legends. Depending on what you need for your event, the shows can be performed in full costume and make up. This is where the legends come alive.
