Before Your Event

We'll work with you before your event to discuss the best setup location, review any venue requirements, and answer your questions. Whether it's a backyard birthday party, school field day, summer camp, community festival, or corporate celebration, we'll make sure everything is ready for an amazing experience.

Event Setup

We arrive before your scheduled start time to set up our professional foam equipment, sound system, and designated foam play area. Our team handles all setup, operation, and equipment cleanup, allowing you to relax and enjoy the party with your guests.

The Foam Party

Once the music starts, the foam begins to fly! Guests can dance, play, laugh, and cool off in mountains of thick, fluffy foam while we keep the energy high and the foam flowing. Our standard foam parties are one hour long, with 90-minute and 2-hour packages available for larger groups or events that want even more fun.

Music

Great music helps create a great party! We can provide a family-friendly playlist and professional sound system, or we're happy to connect to your playlist so your event features the music you and your guests love.

Glow Foam Parties

Take your event to the next level after dark with a Glow Foam Party! Using professional UV lighting and glow-enhanced foam, we'll transform your event into an unforgettable nighttime experience that's perfect for teen parties, school events, youth groups, and special celebrations.

Hosting a school, camp, festival, corporate event, or community celebration? Grumpy Bubbles can scale the experience to fit your event. About Grumpy Bubbles

At Grumpy Bubbles, we believe the best events aren't measured by how much foam is in the air—they're measured by the smiles, laughter, and memories they create. Every foam party is designed to bring people together through energy, music, and unforgettable fun. Despite the name, there's nothing grumpy about our events!

Grumpy Bubbles was created by Ross Troiano, an experienced entertainer and event professional dedicated to creating memorable experiences for families, schools, businesses, and community organizations. During the holiday season, Ross is also known as Santa Ross, a real-bearded professional Santa who has been creating magical Christmas memories since 1987. While Santa Ross brings the spirit of Christmas to the holiday season, Grumpy Bubbles delivers that same commitment to professionalism, customer service, and unforgettable experiences all year long.

By day, Ross serves as the Director of Operations for a Boston-area experiential marketing and event production company, where he helps produce events for clients across the country. His experience in event logistics, production, lighting, and special effects brings an added level of organization, professionalism, and attention to detail to every Grumpy Bubbles event.

Grumpy Bubbles specializes in professionally hosted foam parties for birthdays, schools, camps, daycare centers, church events, community festivals, fundraisers, neighborhood celebrations, and corporate events throughout Eastern Massachusetts. We provide professional-grade foam equipment, upbeat music, and an unforgettable foam-filled experience while handling the complete setup, operation, and cleanup of our equipment. You get to enjoy the party—we take care of the rest.

Ross has also dedicated much of his life to serving his community. He is an Eagle Scout, has been active in Scouting for more than 45 years, served for 15 years on the Board of Directors of a local Boys & Girls Club, and continues to support youth-focused charities in the Marshfield, Massachusetts area. Those values of service, integrity, and giving back are reflected in every Grumpy Bubbles event.

EVENT REQUIREMENTS

Event Space

A minimum 30' × 30' level outdoor area is recommended for the best foam party experience. Pavement, concrete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces are preferred, as they provide excellent drainage and help protect lawns from excessive wear during longer events or events with large guest counts. Grass may also be suitable depending on the location, weather conditions, event duration, and expected attendance. The foam play area should be free of vehicles, sharp objects, low-hanging branches, overhead power lines, and other obstacles.

Water Supply

One standard garden hose connection with adequate water pressure is required within 100 feet of the setup location.

Electrical Requirements

One dedicated 20-amp, 120-volt GFCI-protected electrical circuit is required within 100 feet of the setup area for a standard foam party. Events utilizing multiple foam cannons may require one or more additional dedicated 20-amp circuits, depending on the number of foam cannons and other equipment being used. If electrical service is unavailable or limited, please contact us before booking to discuss available options.

Setup & Teardown

Please allow approximately 30–45 minutes before your scheduled start time for setup and approximately 30 minutes after the event for equipment breakdown and removal.

Sound

Music is an important part of every foam party! We can provide a professional sound system with an upbeat, family-friendly playlist, or we're happy to connect to your playlist using Bluetooth or an auxiliary connection (when available), allowing you to enjoy your own music throughout the event.

Weather

Foam parties are outdoor events. Light rain may not affect the event; however, heavy rain, lightning, or other severe weather may require delaying, rescheduling, or canceling the event for everyone's safety.

Adult Supervision

Children should always be supervised by a parent, guardian, teacher, camp counselor, or other responsible adult. Grumpy Bubbles operates the equipment and provides the entertainment but is not responsible for child supervision.

Participant Waivers

A completed liability waiver is required for every participant entering the foam play area. For participants under 18 years of age, the waiver must be completed by a parent or legal guardian before participation. Electronic waivers are available to help simplify check-in.

Larger Events

From backyard birthday parties to school field days, camps, festivals, and corporate celebrations, Grumpy Bubbles can scale the experience to fit your event. Multiple professionally operated foam cannons are available for larger guest counts, expanded foam play areas, and high-volume events. Additional space, water, and electrical requirements may apply depending on the size and scope of your event.

Glow Foam Parties

Glow Foam Parties require darkness or very low ambient light for the best visual effect. Professional UV lighting and glow-enhanced foam are included as part of the Glow Foam upgrade.

Participant Waivers

A completed liability waiver is required for every participant entering the foam play area. For participants under 18 years of age, the waiver must be completed and signed by a parent or legal guardian prior to participation. Electronic waivers are available to help simplify the check-in process.

Service Area

Based in Marshfield, Massachusetts, Grumpy Bubbles proudly serves Eastern Massachusetts and surrounding communities. Travel fees may apply for locations outside our standard service area.
