The Groove Thang band is definitely THE best "get off your seat and dance" VARIETY entertainment party cover band in Northern California and Nevada. The Groove Thang Band plays a diverse mix of non-stop dance cover music including R&B, Funk, Motown, Disco, Smooth Jazz, Rock and yes, even some Country from the 70's, 80's and 90's. Something for everyone!
The main concept of the band is to provide the ultimate INTERACTIVE party machine for your wedding, festival, anniversary, corporate event, convention, seminar, fundraiser, holiday party, or nightclub so that you can have a great time and dance, dance dance!

Groove Thang Band played at my 40th birthday party, and they got the party going and kept it going!
John (guitar) and Carol (vocals) have an amazing musical chemistry. She can really belt out those tunes while smiling, dancing and exuding a supremely positive energy. I imagine they would be a blast at a wedding or anniversary party. They have the gift to get the guests up and moving. It was very easy and straightforward to set up the gig as they are quick to respond to messages. Be prepared to have a great time!

Groove Thang provided the musical entertainment for our 25th Anniversary and they were beyond impressive! Not only unsurpassed professionalism from set up to take down, their musical talent was just phenomenal! Carol Garcia was the cherry on top and had us mesmerized with her beautiful rendition of “At Last”. Thank you for making our event special!

We hired Groove Thang for our annual harvest party. They were really easy to work with and a very fun band! Our guests gave us many many compliments on the band. We hope to have Groove Thang at our next event.

Groove Thang is a highly professional band that performs songs from the 70s to Top 40. Genres include R&B, rock, funk, disco, vocal standards, 80s, acoustic and jazz. You name it we play it!! We always supply a great sound system and DJ services. We guarantee a professional show and services. We are always willing to work with each client and event coordinator to get the job done and keep you satisfied.
Groove Thang provides high energy dance music from most genres. We have adapted over the years to become a full service variety entertainment company. A one stop shop!
Above all else, we sound GREAT and your guests will be impressed and have loads of fun!!
Groove Thang has been providing these services since 2005 and is an expert at corporate events, wedding, provate parties and festivals.
Additional booking notes
We usually require two 20 amp circuits for most events. We always load in a few hours before your guests arrive.
We always bring 2 sound/lighting techs with us for set up. We bring our own sound equipment and main speakers. Our performers use in ear monitors so we don't clutter up the stage with additional monitor speakers. Since we use in ear monitors, we can control our stage volume to suit the wishes of each client.
It is always nice to have a band rest area if possible although not required as we can mingle too!
