What to expect

“With a style of his own, Greg’s lyrics and music take you to places that only an intimate performance can. It was a pleasure to have him perform for us on a few occasions. The crowds love him, the music is great, and Greg performs like a true artist. Singer songwriters come and go, but Greg is here to stay.”
Jim Dieter, Delphi Music Center

Greg Jones' CD "Faded" is a real treat, especially if you're a fan of honest, from-the-heart music that has something to say and is performed by a singer-songwriter who believes in what he writes. You'll like "Faded" not only for the songs themselves, but also for the stories Greg's songs tell. And it seems Greg Jones has the perfect voice and production values for what many people are calling "Americana" music these days. In any case, get yourself a copy of "Faded": you'll be glad you did.
Mike Byers, Host of WBAA/AM's "Acoustic Blend"

Greg Jones is a truly authentic singer-songwriter whose life and music seamlessly intertwine. Greg’s relata-ble lyrics and memorable melodies result in endless music possibilities.

About

Born and raised in southern Michigan, Greg is a solo acoustic artist currently residing in West Lafayette, Indiana. Greg has always loved singer songwriters with a knack for incredible storytelling, and until recently had been content playing their songs. In 2006, Greg wrote what he considers his first real song, Better Way. Eventually writing a few more songs, Greg got up the nerve to play some solo shows and open mics. While playing in the acoustic duo, The Rust Buckets, with John Lacy, Greg wrote several more songs and strived to develop both his writing and performing skills. Greg recently released his first EP titled, Faded.

Personally connecting with his audience is important to Greg, and his wit and heartfelt lyrics will have you feeling as though he is performing in your own living room or back yard. Rooted equally in country, folk, and pop; his wry, earthy songs project an uncommon wit, warmth, and optimism. Greg's music has been compared to many of his songwriting heroes: Ralston Bowles, Shawn Mullins, Chris Knight, Mike McClure, Steve Earle, and Johnny Cash.
Greg is a member of the Songwriters Association of Mid-North Indiana (SAMI). Greg has performed at the Wabash Riverfest (2011-15), Delphi Public Library, The People’s Winery, Goose The Market, Lafayette Live, WBAA's "Acoustic Blend", and shared the stage with The Clayton Miller Band, Jon Mclaughlin, and Roman Candle as part of "Rock Out For Autism" in 2012. Greg is available for concerts in your home, business, church, or backyard.
