Green Shoebox Band is a group of musician friends that enjoy sharing a wide variety of music from the 60s through the 2000s-in our unique style!

Our live performances have included events for the communities of Olathe, Overland Park, Lenexa, Merriam, Eudora, Independence, Old Shawnee Days, Wellsville Days, Leavenworth County and many popular music venues and corporate/private events around the Kansas City area. The opportunity to choose VIP pre-shows at Starlight Theater before acts such as the Doobie Brothers (2023) and James Taylor (2024), and sold out shows at Aztec Shawnee Theater, are annual highlights.
We can provide a customized entertainment package consisting of a full band, or when needed, solo, duo or trio options to accommodate your desired sound preferences and stage area. Whatever your musical needs, we have options!

Influences and inspiration
We like to play a wide variety of music from the 60s through latest hits on the radio today. Our members have performed with various bands across all musical genres. Our Lead singer, RLo, covers many artists such as Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Adele, Carole King, Melissa Etheridge, the Pointer Sisters, Aretha Franklin, and about any other artist. You will hear influences from The Beatles, The Eagles, Santana, Stevie Wonder, Doobie Brothers, James Taylor, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, The Weeknd, and many others (some of the classics are still going strong today). Although we are not known as a country band, we play country favorites by artists such as Dwight Yoakam, Reba McEntire, Darius Rucker, Chris Stapleton, Toby Keith and others.
