Gravel Roads' original music is a flavor of traditional country (and a gentle taste of blues) bringing a unique sound to an inspirational set of songs. Along with our original music, we also perform cover music in the same vein as our traditional country style and sound.

What to Expect
We are available for festivals, fairs, special community or church events, and any venue looking for an entertaining show. Audience members can expect to be drawn into the positive message of our music sets and relaxed atmosphere of our stage presence.
We are mature, professional, polished, and respectful of any facility where asked to perform.
We are a 4 piece (acoustic/electric guitars, bass, and drums) traditional country band. Our band members are Jeff Pasbrig (acoustic guitar/vocals), Jim Mellor (lead electric/acoustic guitars/vocals), Tom House (bass), and Cory Loger (drums). After Jeff and Jim competed in the 2012 Minnesota state finals of the Texaco Country Showdown, we decided it was finally time to record our music for others to enjoy. Following a year’s worth of studio work we completed our first CD, the self-titled project, Gravel Roads. As a guitar duo Jeff and Jim have been performing and playing together for over 25 years. Tom joined Gravel Roads in the spring of 2013. Cory stepped in as the band's drummer in the spring of 2017. Both bring many more years of seasoned experience to this unique group of musicians.
Along with our original music we also perform selective cover material in the traditional country style. A few of the artists we cover are, George Strait, Bobby Bare, Alan Jackson, Dwight Yoakam, The Mavericks, Merle Haggard, and many others. We feel our performances present an atmosphere of "easy listening". If you are looking for a rowdy bunch of young guns, that isn't who we are. But...we won't put our audience to sleep either! Our music and song sets are also very "danceable" but not too loud or intrusive. The content of all the music we perform reflects who we are as people so we are careful to choose songs that are not offensive or inappropriate.
In a nutshell what you get from Gravel Roads is down-to-earth traditional country with a slight edge and originality that much of today's country music is lacking.
Additional Booking Notes
We are capable of performing in a larger venue such as a reception hall or even a smaller location such as coffee house. Acoustic sets are also not out the question where volume is a factor. For very large outside performances and venues we prefer to use a house supplied PA system as we are not equipped for these spaces. However, we have performed at many outdoor events. This issue would be addressed upon a request for booking.
We would fit well into an opening act sort of performance quite well as we are streamed to accommodate or acclimate to whatever situation may arise. If it has happened to any band...it has probably happened to one of us over the many combined years of performing included in our histories.

Influences & Inspiration
Our original music is inspired by many of the traditional country acts such as Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, George Strait, and even Elvis Presley. We have combined the simple traditional country sound with a bluesy mix of guitar bringing to mind the tone of Dwight Yoakam and the Mavericks influenced by some of the great blues guitarists of the 60's and 70's. Today's mix of country with rock and pop is not who we are.
