September 17, 2026Gary was amazing for my child's birthday party! He had a group of 20 kids completely captivated from start to finish, not an easy feat with a room full of sugar-fueled kids, but he had them laughingvery hard the entire time. His magic is genuinely impressive, but his connection with kids that makes the show. He was funny, patient, and knew exactly how to keep kids involved.
He was easy to communicate with beforehand. Parents were just as entertained as the kids! Highly recommend Goofy Gary for any kid's birthday party, we'll definitely be booking him again.

September 17, 2026Goofy Gary was an absolute hit at our son's birthday! From the moment he arrived, he had the whole room engaged. His tricks were genuinely hilarious, but what really set him apart was his personality and great work with the kids. He kept both the kids and adults laughing the whole time.
Communication leading up to the event was easy and professional, and he showed up right on time, fully prepared. If you're on the fence about booking, don't be Goofy Gary delivered a show that the kids are still talking about weeks later. We'd hire him again in a heartbeat!

He shows up to every party already arguing with JokeBot, a speaker robot creation he built that he treats like a real coworker. JokeBot mishears half of what Gary says and answers back completely straight-faced. Neither of them remembers how the argument started.
Goofy Gary — Kansas City's Most Self-Assured Kids Magician
Goofy Gary thinks he's the best magician in Kansas City. He'll tell you so himself, usually talking about himself in the third person like he's already famous.
The show runs on one magic word: Googily Moogily. Gary teaches it to the kids early on, then mispronounces it himself later and blames the room for saying it wrong. Everyone has to shout it again, louder, which is usually the loudest moment of the party.
A lot of tricks are used to pull different kids up to help, but nobody's left out. Gary treats each one like a fellow magician, not just a volunteer. Under the mismatched jacket and the huge bow tie, he actually does love this stuff. He got a magic kit as a kid and never stopped messing with it. He won't say that out loud during the show, but it's why he's so patient with the kids he brings up.
45–60 minute shows for birthday parties, private family events, and library programs around the Kansas City metro. Saturdays in spring and summer book up fast.
