Overview
Gomez & Sadlon is an instrumental jazz duo that performs music ranging from easy listening jazz to instrumental rock and pop and light classical flute and guitar music. Their music has been described as popular and easy to listen to, yet artistic, and appealing to a wide range of audiences. Rick Sadlon performs on saxophone and flute, Thom Gomez is the guitarist. Repertoire includes jazz standards, modern smooth jazz versions of classic popular songs including Beatles, Eric Clapton, Jethro Tull, Santana, and Sting. They get the sound of a full band for the price of a duo and perform all types of occasions such as cocktail parties, dinners, receptions, wedding ceremonies and corporate events.

These guys were amazing. We asked that they play for an outside reception for about 80 people, but in a way that wouldn't distract people. The music was absolutely perfect...everyone loved the evening, and they added so much to the event. Rick was so easy to work with and was exactly on time and the setup was extremely well done. These folks are dependable and perfect at what they do. You won't go wrong selecting them for your event.

Having background music at our son’s rehearsal dinner was the best idea yet. It added such a nice atmosphere to an already special event. The music provided was varied and pleased everyone’s taste. It was truly enjoyable!

About
The Gomez & Sadlon jazz duo performs a wide range of music that features a repertoire of popular jazz, pop, rock and even some country musical selections from the American Songbook performed in an easy jazz style. Their music has been described as contemporary, melodic and smooth, yet artistic and they have the ability to interpret the music in a manner that everyone will recognize and enjoy. The collaboration of guitarist Thom Gomez, and saxophonist and flutists Rick Sadlon result in a beautiful combination of sounds that tastefully compliment each other and have a broad audience appeal. Guitarist, Thom Gomez is an experienced musician who grew up on Long Island and started performing in rock and show bands in and around the New York City area at an early age before his family moved to Connecticut. He soon became part of the Hartford music scene and continues to perform in clubs throughout the state both as a soloist and with various jazz and fusion groups. Saxophonist/flutist Rick Sadlon has performed extensively through the county. As lead alto saxophone in the S/S Norway Orchestra he performed with acts such as Rita Moreno, Dihann Carroll, Jack Jones, Lionel Hampton and Anne Murray. Other shows and performance credits include: New Duke, The Goodspeed Opera House, The Wesleyan New World Consort, Mohegan Sun, Orchestra of New England, Henry Mancini, Johnny Mathis, Barry White, Ray Charles and for three years at Musical Theater Zurich in Zurich, Switzerland.

Additional booking notes
All we require is access to electricity. Being a duo we do not need much performance space, and 7x10 feet space should do it. We have our own music stand lights, so lighting is not an issue. We usually require access to the venue about an hour before the event in order to set up, sound check and be in place before the start of your event.

Influences and inspiration
We enjoy performing the music of many different styles, genres and generations. We have music in our repertoire ranging from Classic Jazz, Duke Ellington, Brubeck, Gershwin, and many standard selections American Songbook as well as jazz instrumental versions of popular songs ranging from the Beatles, Eric Clapton and Ray Charles to Santana, Sting, Mariah Carey, John Legend, Lady Gaga and Billy Joel. All great music that we love to perform and that people recognize and enjoy.
Setup requirements
We only require a 6' x 10 ' space and access to electricity
If performing outside, we prefer to not be in direct sunlight and require some overhead coverage in case of rain.
