What to expect

As a versatile live drummer and percussionist, I offer a dynamic range of services tailored to enhance any event or performance. I specialize in playing drumset in various styles, primarily improvisational, and can seamlessly adapt to the unique vibe of any occasion. Whether it's adding rhythmic depth to an ensemble or performing with a musical production, I bring energy and tastefulness to every performance.

For events requiring sheet music, I am capable of preparing in advance and performing alongside both conducted and non-conducted ensembles, from musical theater and band settings to classical music. I can serve as a lead drummer or contribute as a supplementary percussionist, incorporating shakers, bells, hand drums, and other aesthetically pleasing sounds to add texture and enhance the overall sound.

About

I am a percussionist and drummer from New Jersey with a BA in Music Education from Montclair State University, where I specialized in classical percussion. Throughout my career, I have performed with a variety of ensembles, including the MSU West African Drum and Dance Ensemble, the Princeton Brass Band, and the Society of Musical Arts (SOMA), as well as in high school musicals like Avenue Q and Little Shop of Horrors. I’ve also played with the New York Youth Symphony.

Passionate about world percussion traditions, I have traveled to Ghana, where I studied Ewe drumming, singing, dance, and Dagara gyil music. I’ve also studied djembe and more recently explored Taiko drumming during a trip to Japan. In the future, I hope to expand my musical horizons by studying tabla in India.
