Glitter Ink Body Art

Glitter Ink is owned and operated by Jen Rotty who is also a makeup artist in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. She created Glitter Ink Body Art as an off shoot to her makeup business. The artistry of the glitter is what attracted her to this business. There really hasn't been anyone else in the area who has rolled out the glitter tattoos and body art to the level of Glitter Ink. We are one of the most popular vendors at fairs and festivals as well as smaller venues like birthday parties or school functions. In addition to all kinds of parties, some additional appropriate events for our services include Pre and Post Show Events, Celebrity Events, Fundraising Benefits, VIP Receptions, Client/Consumer Relations Family Events, Product Launches, Sporting Events, Themed Parties and After Parties. The appeal of the glitter art is wide and all ages seem to gravitate toward it. While the smaller tattoos appeal to our younger clients, the larger pieces are a big hit with the adults. The "HD" or designer stencils that are exclusive to Glitter Ink in the Twin Cities are an entirely different kind of stencil. They are a vinyl that will wrap around the body easily without damaging the intricate and detailed designs. The stencil design is made of a fine mesh that holds the glue in place so the design details are shown. Many of these designs look like jewelry-bracelets and necklaces. We also include Swarovski crystals in these designs. They are certainly a show stopper!

We can set up easily for an outdoor festival complete with tenting, all tables, chairs and displays. We can also customize the set up for a small group indoors as well. The setups can be as simple as a table and a chair. With a 3 week lead time, we can have custom stencils made with company logos or anything that would be for a specific event. Corporate functions love to have their logos done in glitter as a promotion. The designs are waterproof and will last up to 7 days or longer if taken care of properly. The glue is a dermatologist tested body glue that is safe for the skin. We have over 30 different colors in our basic glitters and about 15 in our designer glitters which are more finely milled so they can enhance the details of the HD stencils. The fun for our clients is choosing whatever colors they would like for their designs so no two look alike.

We typically book a smaller event with one artist if the party has 30 people or less. The average amount of small tattoos we can do in one our per person is about 18. The small stencils are approximately 2" x 3" while the medium and large stencils average 4" x 5". We can add additional artists depending on the length of the party and how many in attendance. Generally we have 2 to 3 artists at a large event. We are very popular with school events such as carnivals and fundraisers. With a fundraiser, we will give a percentage back to the event sponsor or give a discount to the booking fee.

Booking fees are generally $200 for a minimum of 2 hours with one artist. Additional artists and time can be booked with an additional fee.
