What to Expect
Let’s start this exciting journey! The process starts once you provide us with the information with regards to your event or wedding needs.
Based on the information you provide us, We will then create a proposal for you with a few options you can choose from. We usually give you 3 options to choose from to get the ideas flowing.
Once you have reviewed our proposal and feel that we represent your style, we will then schedule a consultation to discuss the proposal further. At the consultation, we will go over the details of your wedding ideas and we will then provide creative input and style ideas. This includes discussion of all aspects of your event or wedding vision to ensure that all design elements are well integrated.
We’d love to see you bring some inspirational pictures or any inspirations like your invitations, linen colours, dress pictures etc.
After the consultation, we will then revise our proposal based on what we have discussed at the consultation. We also provide you with sketches and set-up info you can have a really good idea on the set-up and layout.
As we pay close attention to your event or wedding needs and provide creative input and customized work, once the number of allowable revisions is reached, an additional designer fee will apply.
Once the final revision has been reviewed and approved, we will then proceed to complete the signing of the contract along with the receipt of initial payment.
Upon the receipt of the initial payment, your wedding date is now secured with our services and you are officially a booked client (Woot, Woot!)
We will then schedule a centerpiece sample showing. Sample showings are usually done 2-3 months before the wedding. In some cases, earlier.
At this point in time, depending on the detail and the scope of set-up and design, we usually schedule a venue walk through to ensure flawless execution.

I’m Gaelle (pronounced GUY-L), GC Events Executive Planner. I am in LOVE with creating designs that are modern, fresh, romantic, elegant and timeless.
Leaving behind my aspirations of working in the architectural engineering field (not happening at all!), I started to pursue my love and passion for beauty, details, logistics, style, presentation and design.
In 2014, during my time volunteering at TOM|FW Toronto Men's Fashion Week and Wedlux is when the spark for event planning was ignited. I knew then that event planning was what I wanted to pursue in life. After seminars, trainings and internships in the wedding and event industry, I founded GC Events.
SIDE NOTE: Before the wedding and event industry, I hold a degree in Architectural Engineering, a diploma in Business Administration Management and Event Management. I used to work 2 jobs at a time – in sales and as a server – trying to figure out what will resonate with me. BUT it was only when I got involved in events around Toronto (randomly!) that I finally felt happy with what I was doing’. Since then, I have created my own brand and never looked back.
