What to expect
Audience members will experience incredible bouts of laughter, they may become part of the show - become hypnotized in their seats (it happens more often than you you think lol) The positive suggestion used in Gavin's show for the volunteers are also received by the audience members, especially near the end of the performance, leaving people happy and more relaxed than when they sat down.
About
Gavin Hooper started out as a clinical hypnotist, Mesmerizing people into letting go of their challenges and replacing them with success. Very quickly he discovered that clients responded more readily to suggestions given in an environment of light heartedness than in the typical "all work and no play" hypnotherapy sessions of the past. It was a short step then to carry his amazing talents from the clinic onto the stage.
It's been said that "laughter is the best medicine". If this is the case, Hooper has cured more than his share of participants and watchers alike! With a sense of humor that never stops, and an intimate understanding of human nature, his hypnosis shows range from humorous and educational, to outright hilarious and just plain fun!
Additional booking notes
Lighting is nice, but Sound is the most import thing to me and the volunteers of course,the volunteers must hear me clearly, which is why I suggest a minimum of 2 powered speakers on poles to be placed behind the seats on the stage or staging area, as well as 1, preferably 2 wedge type speakers to be used as monitors placed in front of the volunteers. A cordless microphone, and the ability to attach my music to the sound system, using XLR cords. If I'm driving I am fully self contained- i.e Sound system, microphone etc.
We do carry liability insurance, however I've chosen not to include the amount or provisions in the Bash box.
Approximately 10 to 15 feet of space between volunteers and the audience (if possible) to allow people who are fully engaged in the hypnotic experince on stage to move about and act out the fun and sometimes wacky suggestions.
A contract will be sent to you and must be signed and returned accompanied with a deposit (percentage can vary) to secure the date and times.
