November 14, 2021Blew the minds and won the hearts of a bunch of smart adults
We had David over for an adult birthday party and he was AWESOME. He was super funny and incredibly engaging with the group, but most importantly he is just highly, highly skilled. He had entirely-sober MIT engineers losing their minds and shouting with glee at his truly incomprehensible magic. His close-up magic in particular is just truly ridiculous.
He's a great partner to work with: he and I synched about the party beforehand and he made sure that for this crowd he showed up with some math-heavy stuff, a rubiks-cube-based set of magic, and other stuff that really appealed to the group and the birthday girl. I know for a fact he has enough up his sleeve to do an entirely different show, too.
I will 100% work with David more!

About
In late 2021, I did something I never thought I would do (nor did my family!): I quit my full-time job to pursue magic as my sole profession.
For decades before that, I had worked as a copywriter in advertising, marketing, and product development--including the last 17 years in various senior creative roles at Apple in Cupertino. But for most of that time, I had also been doing magic on the side. And over those years, magic became my true passion.
Now, I'm proud to call myself a full-time magician, even if the knowledge sometimes prompts quizzical looks on people's faces: "You quit Apple to do this? You can make a living at this?"
Yes, and yes!
Today, people hire me to bring delight and amazement to their premium events: company celebrations, private parties, festivals, team-building events, and more. Basically, anywhere people want to enjoy fun, sophisticated, surprising entertainment.
I also currently serve as president of the Silicon Valley Chapter of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (I.B.M. Ring 216). And I've won multiple awards for my magic:

I'm completely self-contained, including my own battery-powered sound equipment and my own table if necessary. So there's nothing you need to provide at all.
