For birthday party I always get 10-15 minutes before, to set up.
For large events, fairs, festival, farmers markets, etc, I will be there at least 20 minutes before to set up, will discussed the amount of people and age of crowd expected, will give recommendation to the client about the better location and things to consider, as balloon twisting and face painting are usually very popular in the events, there will be a line! And it has to have enough space for it. Also will discussed logistics and other important detail in advance.
Each event is different, I will discuss detail before the day of the event and adapt to it as much as possible.
My rate is per hour, first hour has a set fee, after that will depend on how many hours, distance to travel and size and type of event. I offer specials for churches, schools and summer camps.

My name is Gabby, born in US, raised in Venezuela, and came back!!! Former Dentist, specialist in kids dentistry, but my passion: handcrafting and creating smiles with my work! Here is where balloon twisting and face painting get in the picture! Love that excitement and expectation when I start inflating the balloon... until that beautiful smile when I finish and handle it to the child! And even adult get amazed! Love that too!

Space and setup is very important, I need time and space to set up, space to have enough room to be standing and kids waiting at least 3 feet away, and at least 2 feet between my set up and the start of the line, while in line, kids will see menu to choose what they want before hand, what moves line faster!

A table to have equipment, same space require for face painting or balloon twisting.

Balloon and face painting can be offered at the same event, but not at the same time, will require an minimum of 3 hours to be able to do both services.

If outdoor event, need to be under tent or shade, as balloons or painting can not be exposed to direct sunlight.

If is a event with music, preferible to be as far as possible from the music/sound, to improve communication with kids.
