Freya West

Freya's burlesque performance is classically trained, exhibited through controlled isolations and sensuous peels. Freya's acts focus on 1950s bump and grind, from orchestral jazz to hard rock. As an experienced fan dancer, Freya can artfully conceal and reveal behind a large pair of feather fans, engaging an audience on stage or dancing throughout the party. Boa and chair work are also specialties, and can be taught as well as performed.

Freya's fire performances rely on sensuality and recreate fertility dances. Tracing, hits, and fire eating tricks comprise this specialty act. As an act, Freya can improvise to your music or provide her own, choreographed act. Fire performance is also available as roaming character, bringing the fanciful flames into the atmosphere.

As a host, Freya provides a bawdy sweetness. With a slight Southern drawl and a lot of attitude, Freya draws on drag performance to not only entertain, but engage the audience. Freya can write her own script for your event, work from a pre-written syllabus, or work improv, introducing musical acts, burlesque, variety, or speakers. Freya is also available as a motivational speaker for body positivity, including burlesque movement exercises.

As a burlesque party instructor, Freya has trained with the elite in world talent, and co-founded the Delinquent Debutantes, where she has taught hundreds of women how to shimmy, bump, grind and build self confidence through movement.
