NORMAL PARTY CARICATURES: Party guests will stand near me—watching as I draw—often commenting on the drawing or badgering the drawing subjects. They have as much fun watching as the person or couple being drawn. I am quickly studying their facial features and drawing the most noticeable ones I see. In seconds, I start grinning because I get an idea of how this is going to turn out. Sometimes, I make faces at them or pretend to make a mistake, just to get them to react. It's all fun for everyone. When the drawing is complete, I show it for all to see and give it to the willing victim! ...NEXT! The people decide who is in line next and we do it again!

VIRTUAL CARICATURES: A fully virtual caricature experience is an option—even across country! It does require more preparation from you, such as a large screen for viewing, a line organizer, a cloud-based photo sharing center, a printer and photo paper (if you choose to print on site) and a few webcams or other internet-ready camera devices that guests look at while being drawn. Email for more details. At least two cameras are required at your site. To use a baseball analogy, one guest is “at bat” and the next one is “on deck”.

SOCIALLY DISTANT: I bring the extra media gear (or you provide some), such as large screen/projector for viewing, computer/ipad, printer, cables, easel, chair. Many more guests can view live artwork on screen while maintaining a 6-foot distance.

Welcome to Fresh Squeezed Faces! My name is Jedd Bluhm, a St. Paul, MN native. I am a freelance illustrator who likes to draw caricatures... funny cartoons that look like you and your guests in only a few minutes' time. I have been drawing caricatures professionally for five years, constantly improving my work. You will always get my best!

I typically require a two-hour minimum contract. However, events within a 10 mile radius from 55102 can hire me for only one hour, if desired. Customer pays my driving expenses at $0.50 a mile, roundtrip. Long distance travel will be paid by you, the customer (your details help me provide an estimate when I submit a bid).

At the event, I need you to provide three chairs (one for me and two for my drawing subjects) and a location where your guests can freely come and go, away from direct exposure to the elements. If a line up is not possible, I can wander the room, but it limits the view for casual onlookers.

I provide the paper and drawing equipment. There are options available for paper sizes and printed messages!

For large events, multiple artists may be needed.

Lighting must be good, or I will need to bring my own lights. Indoors, preferably, but for sure away from rain and direct sunshine. We don't want to put your guests in a precarious position for any length of time. I need you to provide three chairs and a central location to maximize traffic and keep an audience. I will bring a drawing easel and appropriate tools.
