Overview
I'm a professional musician with 20 years of experience. I currently specialize in performing as a solo saxophonist which includes wedding cocktail hours, ceremonies, restaurants, playing alongside a DJ, or any other event type. My performances are tailored to suit your event's atmosphere, whether it is mellow jazz or energetic dance numbers for a family celebration or anything in between. My typical set-up and take-down time is usually 15 minutes or less.
I'm open to travel and I frequently gig in Virginia and DC. I playing along to the highest quality backing music for all solo performances.

I always knew I wanted to have a DJ for my wedding to be able to hear all of the actual songs rather than covers, but coming from a family that loves live music, it felt sad to not have some kind of live component. And then we found Fred! I cannot tell you how much having him play sax with our DJ elevated our reception! He brought so much energy to the dance floor and being able to hear all of our songs back with the sax layered on top is truly incredible. Best decision we made! He's also such a fun and easy going guy. An ideal vendor to work with in the crazy wedding industry!! Oh and one last thing -- he seamlessly joined in with our cocktail hour jazz trio to play our favorite song In the Mood for our big entrance and it was a dream come true :'))

Fred is almost too good to be true! We had an intimate wedding and Fred was our choice to play during cocktail hour. We saw his youtube videos and thought he would be an excellent addition but had no idea how amazing he was! I had folks come up to me and tell me they thought it was a recording because he was stationed in the shade in a very large yard, in 100 degree summer day. He was amazing and played some Bob Marley for our wedding as well as many other fun tunes. DO NOT HESITATE! Book him before he becomes too famous :-)

About
I have 20 years of consistent performance experience with top 40 bands, jazz bands, military bands, and theme park bands and have performed for several hundred weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, military functions, theme park shows, public, and private events. Venues include hotel ballrooms, bars, nightclubs, restaurants, dance clubs, resorts, festivals, state fairs, civic centers, retirement homes, aircraft hangars, and embassies.
Additional booking notes
I am able to perform up to four 45–50-minute sets in any location or setting with or without access to a power outlet. My entire system can be set up and taken down in as little as 15 minutes. It is sized to handle most indoor and outdoor venues. Clients may use my microphone to make announcements to guests during breaks. I can provide background music during breaks.
