A native of Houston,Texas, currently residing in Los Angeles, singer/actress Francesca Capasso, was raised on Americana Music. Classic Country, Folk & Rock. She then discovered Blues, Soul, R&B, Latin Rock and Jazz.

She has worked with Randy Jackson of American Idol fame, Motown Artist, Bobby Taylor, Spencer Davis, Jeff “Skunk” Baxter from The Doobie Brothers, Tony Valentino, Sal Rodriguez from WAR, Actor, Branscome Richmond, German actor/singer, Reiner Schoene and legendary drummers, Carmine Appice, Hal Blaine and Buddy Miles. She has opened up for, WAR, Joe Cocker, Barbara Morrison, Sugar Pie Desanto, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Johnny Winter, and Robben Ford among others.
In 2007 Capasso was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She can be seen on NBC nightly news talking about her cancer battle.
She continues to be an advocate for breast cancer and offers support to women newly diagnosed.

Capasso’s CD and songwriting collaboration, Race Against Time with The Brian Kinler Band garnered first round Grammy nominations in 5 categories in 2015.

Francesca’s vocals on the classic country song “All Dressed Up”with The Americana Kitchen Band garnered Best Music Video in 2019 by LA Music Critics Awards.

And in November 2020, Francesca’s participance as lead singer in The Paris Escovedo Band, won an LA Black Music Award for Best Jazz Band.
Francesca’s collaboration and recent single release in December 2020, with DJ/Country EDM Artist and Producer Elektrohorse is a Gospel Blues song/video called “WALK ON WATER”. The powerful inspirational song is hitting the right note with a message of hope when faced with life’s challenges. Especially in 2020 and 2021 dealing with social political unrest and a world wide pandemic.

The single is getting nice reviews and airplay on indie radio, nationally and internationally.
Francesca can be heard singing on jingles for Mattel/UNO and BMW/Mini vs Monster
. As well as an on camera, with a cameo on the Showtime series, SHAMELESS portraying a cancer survivor in a scene with William H. Macy.

Capasso is the lead singer of the LA based All Female Blues and Soul band THE SCORCH SISTERS.
