We offer a 10, 15, or 25 minute show. Our basic show requires 5 performers. Our more elaborate shows require 8-10 performers. A 10 minute show includes Capoeira Regional, a dynamic Brazilian Martial Art that includes live percussion and singing, dynamic movement, and lots of energy. A 15 minute show includes Capoeira and either Maculele (dramatic warrior dance), Samba de Roda (traditional playful dance), or Puxada de Rede (theatrical fisherman's dance). A 25 minute show includes all 4, with breaks for costume changes.
Our workshops are educational and interactive, and fun for all ages! Workshops can be done with a single performer (only Music demos) or with a group (choreographed demos can be included). Participants can learn about traditional Afro-Brazilian instruments, traditional songs and rhythms, and simple movements and choreographies.
Workshops and Demos can be combined and tailored to fit your needs.
Fort Worth Capoeira opened in August 2014, offers interactive educational shows for all ages, performances and workshops.
