I provide live flute music that enhances the atmosphere without overpowering it: whether it's setting the tone for a wedding ceremony, adding charm to a cocktail hour, or bringing life to an art gallery or cultural event.

I'm Lucía, a classically trained flutist with a passion for using music to create meaningful, memorable moments. Originally from Costa Rica and now based in Pittsburgh, I bring a personal, heartfelt touch to every performance: whether it’s a wedding, cultural celebration, private event, or art exhibit.

My training includes masterclasses with renowned flutists such as Susan Milan and Elizabeth Mann, as well as experience with the National Orchestra of Costa Rica. These opportunities have shaped my approach to performance, blending technical precision with expressive warmth.

I specialize in curating live flute music tailored to your event’s atmosphere, whether you're looking for elegant classical selections, personal favorites, or custom pieces that reflect your story. I love collaborating with clients to help their vision come to life! When you book me, you’re not just hiring a performer, you’re inviting someone who genuinely cares about making your event sound beautiful, feel special, and be remembered.

I’m a self-contained, acoustic performer and generally do not require amplification for most indoor or intimate outdoor events. However, I’m happy to work with a microphone or house sound system if the venue is large or if requested, especially if you want a accompaniment!

Basic requirements:
• A quiet, designated performance area (a raised stage is appreciated but not required)
• One armless chair (if seated performance is preferred)
• Access to shade for outdoor events (to protect the instrument and ensure comfort)
• Parking access or unloading zone near the venue
• If you requested accompaniment, I will need some sort of amplification for the piece.

If amplification is provided by the venue, I may request a clip-on or stand mic for optimal sound quality, though it is not necessary for most events. I’ll arrive early to set up and coordinate as needed with event staff or planners to ensure a smooth performance :)
