Felice seemed like a great choice to spruce up my friend and I for an important gala we were volunteering at based on multiple websites with multiple great reviews, but what we saw wasn't what we got. Felice was slurring her words and stumbling over herself and her stylist tools for the nearly six hours we were at her studio salon. She confided in us that she'd recently started a new medication and I honestly believe she never should've been at work that day.
The salon was a disaster and ill kept and, despite Felice's cheerful demeanor, had zero of the professional ambiance we were expecting from someone who claimed to have worked in this field for over twenty years. We informed her the hair and makeup styles we wanted a week before our appointment, furnishing her with pictures of us and what we were expecting, as well as the time she would have to accomplish this; seeing as her websites and reviews say she's worked with large wedding parties all by herself, including all the bridesmaids and the MotB, we thought five hours would be enough for two people and Felice gave no indication that she felt otherwise.
Felice not only took longer than our appointment was supposed to go, she didn't give us what we wanted at all. We wanted 40's glam: red lips, dramatic eye/cat eye, natural foundation, and elegant hairstyles. She piled my hair in a messy bun with no shape or direction at all and, when I asked her to pin it tighter, actually took it more apart. She straightened my friends hair when my friend requested large, pronounced waves; Felice was so impaired she didn't notice that she had burned melted plastic into her my friend's hair which came from the disaster she'd placed the hot iron on for an extended period of time while wandering about in confusion. She haphazardly put foundation on us both, but I was given the palate to do my own red lip while she distractedly worked on my friend's face. She put nearly florescent pink on my friend's lips and had such an unsteady hand the color drunkenly swerved over and under her lip line. Felice put lazily, unevenly scribbled eyeliner on my friend when she wanted a smokey eye; she gave me no eye makeup at all when I wanted a cat eye.
We had to leave her salon much later than we wanted, rush home, take everything off and apart, redo everything as quickly as possible, and we were late for the gala.
And that's not the worst part. When confronting Felice with what she gave us, Felice proceeded to berate and mock us, insinuating that we were lying and taking advantage of her "kindness." She continued to harass us over text long after we stopped responding (as we were in the middle of the gala and had no time to respond) and said we would be slandering her if we said anything publicly.
Upon further inspection, we found that out of about one hundred and eighty (180) Facebook reviews, nearly one hundred and thirty (130) were made by accounts in middle eastern countries which only post up positive reviews for various services and products. Of the seemingly genuine reviews, we've found several cross posted over different websites under different names, and about half of the rest came from personal family and friends. If she hadn't had so many "good reviews" we never would've went to her salon and we were completely swindled because of it.

☺️Thank you! Your validation is such a compliment🥰
From when she first replied to my Thumbtack inquiry to when she departed from completing my hair/makeup, I was so glad I recognized a gem and booked Felice to do my maid of honor's and my hair + makeup for my wedding. Felice is the most client-centered professional you will find. From our first call, she heard me out, made sure I had all the information I wanted (and information she needed), and spent as long on the phone as necessary to make sure we were a good match (plus, she made me laugh and feel at ease)! She is talented, professional, warm, and genuinely excited about her work. I don't usually wear much make-up or style my hair often, so I was probably a trickier client because I didn't know much about hair/makeup trends, terminology, etc. Yet Felice gleaned what I was going for and did a fantastic job. She was honest, clear, open, and a delight to work with. She was also incredibly flexible; I switched locations on her after booking (not a problem) and my maid-of-honor was unable to send photos of example hair/makeup looks prior to the job PLUS got burns on her face from deployed airbags during a car accident a couple days before the wedding and Felice was able to accommodate on-the-fly! Felice's portfolio photos are wonderful, yet they still don't do her skills justice. You can trust Felice when she gives any recommendation. You're more than just another job to her, and you can feel good knowing that you're safe in her hands... you will come out of the session with the exact look you expressed to her during the pre-session communication and/or trial (I didn't do a trial because I live out of state, so that's even more impressive). Can't recommend Felice (or her assistant, Ariel) enough -- book her if she's available!
