I've been lucky enough to do this for over a decade now, and every show still feels like a privilege. I studied Jazz Performance at Hunter College, which gave me a real foundation to build on. Born in France, raised in Switzerland, and now calling NYC home, I grew up surrounded by different cultures and languages, and I think that shaped everything about how I perform. I speak English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, which helps me connect with all kinds of people in the room.
The artists I look up to tell you everything about where I'm coming from: Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, Charles Aznavour, Chet Baker. I'm not trying to be any of them, but I carry their influence in everything I do. Jazz standards, international classics, a bit of humor along the way, that's the show.
I work with a track-based setup, so I don't need a full band to bring the music to life. Just a mic and a room.
