Michelina is known as the "Sea Gypsy" whose inspiration for dance combines her passionate creativity for Flamenco into a Nuevo art form personified as Fusion Dance.
This unique approach to Flamenco Fusion Dance combines old traditional Flamenco with her own styles that ignites within one a "fire for Flamenco." Using, fans, shawls and castanets in original movements, the performances tend to inspire all who are watching to want to get up and “Dance from the Soul.”
Flamenco Fusion Dance is performed with energetic passion and high drama. The regal elegance of the dance creates a sensual beauty of undulating movements in both form and fabric that makes it irresistible to watch!

MERMAID MICHELINA (origin):

Born out of the Sea of Cortez, Mermaid Michelina, also known as the "Sea Gypsy," has been spotted in Arizona, Mexico, New York and the U.K. She adds all sorts of enchantment to your event making magical moments that last a lifetime.
The mythical character of Mermaid Michelina was established to bring joy, mystery and hope through her performances. She also spreads awareness for the ecology of our seas and, in particular, dolphins. Michelina acts as ambassador for the oceans by educating the public about sea life and water safety.
While working at Delfinario in San Carlos, Mexico, Michelina forged a lifelong connection between the dolphins and children with special needs through dolphin therapy programs.
Mermaid Michelina invites you to join her in becoming an ambassador for our seas and help her spread awareness of the fragile ecology of our oceans and dolphins so that this beauty and wonder can be enjoyed for generations to come.
