What to expect

Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets provide a fun and interactive live show. Rich really entertains the crowd with stage dialogue, and they always encourage song requests from the audience to ensure everyone is engaged in the music. They bring their own sound and lighting equipment, and usually require a 20'x20' space to set up. Depending on the event, microphones can be made available to guests for announcements, speeches and games etc. and they are able to play your music from your device when they are not performing. Unlike many bands, they are able to keep volume levels down so fans can enjoy the music at a reasonable volume even in smaller venues. Although a typical night would consist of 3x 45 minute sets, the band has a huge song repertoire and are able to perform as much or as little as required. The usual age range of their fans is 25-65. They are able to perform light music during a wedding ceremony as well. For outdoor events the band usually requests that the client provides a tent and access to electricity or a generator.

About

Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets play what people want to hear when they go out to see a live rock’n roll band—all the hits! Since their formation in 2012, Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets have become cottage country’s best classic-rock cover-band with a reputation for packing dance floors, docks, and cruise ships and keeping the party moving.

As the name implies, Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets isn’t about getting rich and famous. It’s about the energy of the crowd, the dancing, and the sing-a-long attitude their fans bring to the shows—in short, these guys go out to entertain the audience.

Sharing a deep knowledge and reverence for radio-friendly classic-rock, pop, country and roots music, the band boasts veteran musicians “Filthy” Rich Howard (vocals/guitar), Marcel Turgeon (guitar), Mark Rahn (bass), Bruce Butler (keyboards) and Jon Kidd (drums).

Although based in Parry Sound/Muskoka, Filthy Rich and the Empty Pockets have performed throughout southern Ontario, and lend their talents to weddings, private parties, sporting events and fundraisers.
