Fantasy Balloons and Face Painting

My experience was very poor. I contacted her in the beginning of the week of my event for an invoice and was told for three days she would send it. The day before the festival Ellie cancelled and said I owed more money than discussed. I tired to explain I paid gigsalad already but would pay the difference for the additional hour but she was unaware of the platform's policy of partial payment before event then final payment once completed. She completely canceled my booking then tired to have me Zelle her the full amount, now I'd have to pay her again while a refund was being processed. Thank goodness I was able to find someone else for the event even though I hired Ellie two months ago. Excuses were given why she didn't feel and how she doesn't want to do the event but still would come. Extremely unprofessional and would not book.

The vendor did a fantastic job on the balloon arch, and we look forward to working with her again in the future.

We used Elsie for my daughters birthday party. I hired her to do face painting and balloons for roughly 18 children. She was prompt & kind. There were some hiccups beforehand because my deposit didn't match my name & instead was under my husbands, along with some very late night texts, which I found to be odd. Party day came and she was lovely with the children. Elsie told my niece she couldn't play with a balloon made specifically for the bday girl. I corrected & said it was fine. My friend asked for an additional balloon and it was then I realized she was counting balloons. On top of this, I asked for an identical butterfly balloon to be made for my niece - she & my daughter are besties. Elsie told me she would but then packed up & left without a word. She told someone to tell me she was leaving. My husband chased her down to pay her, and I got a phone call (I didn't answer) at 10:30 that night. No voicemail.
I am giving 4 stars because the quality of her work and how out of her way she went to make my daughter feel special & happy. All of the kids who had their faces painted were thrilled - and we handed out Elsie's business cards.
I am not giving the full 5 stars because I was disappointed in how the communication went and also telling my guests they can't have additional balloons because of how many they've already had. This is something that should have been discussed with me. At no time during booking was it discussed that each child would only receive "x" number of balloons. I would suggest this going forward.

Elsie was so sweet and fun! She did a great job at organizing and being ready for the first kid to get their face painted! Just loved it and so did the kids. Her team worked well with the kids and the kids all loved getting their face and arms painted and getting balloon animals! What a great addition to our event!

I originally hired Fantasy Balloons for balloon twisting. Elsie said she could do that and face painting as well. Elsie became ill, but sent another person in her place to do face painting only. I appreciated the fact that she found a replacement the day before our picnic, but it wasn't what was requested.
