An internationally recognized, highly trained pianist, singer and music educator who is equally proficient in jazz, pop and classical music. Born into a family of musicians, Fanni began her piano studies at the tender age of 6. She graduated with honors at the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in Budapest, Hungary with a major in piano in 2004. While teaching classical piano at the Academy’s jazz faculty since 2007, Fanni has also achieved international recognition as keyboardist/vocalist and songwriter of the smooth jazz / fusion group Mizar and Mrs. Columbo drawing the attention of famed US magazine JAZZIZ and global leader online radio station (link hidden).
In the age of 16 she joined to her first rock band and from that moment she started to participate regularly on concerts, club events and music contests as well. Beside her classical studies Fanni and her musician friends - Peter Schneider and Gabor Pusztai - established her first major fusion band called Mizar. Their effort and proficiency lead them to win numerous music competitions in Hungary and abroad. In 2010 Fanni won the International Songwriting Contest of France Grand Prize in jazz category with her song “No time to lose”, recorded with the Mizar band. (Natural Design - Beagle Beat Records, 2009). In 2010 Mizar won one of the biggest song contests Grand Prize in Hungary, the Jazzy Radio Songwriting Contest.
In 2010 Fanni was invited to play with Hungarian jazz band called Mrs. Columbo. The band achieved international recognition by being selected to the Eurovision Song Contest in 2012. In 2013 Mrs. Columbo won the most prominent Hungarian award, the Fonogram Awards “Best Jazz Album of the Year” with their record “Re- makeup” (Magneoton Records)
In 2009 Fanni and her musician friends - Balazs Szendofi (bass) and Akos Kertesz (drums) established a band called “Inner Spring Trio” and won the financial support of the Hungarian Government Cultural Department. With their help they released their first album called “...And Other Seasons”. The band had the honor to record in best quality studio of Hungary, the Tom-Tom Records. The album is broadcasted all over the world, for example in the national radio station Voice of Vietnam (VoV).
Fanni also achieved recognition in the film industry as “musical consultant” and composer. The latest movie she participated in called “Vándorszínészek” was
released in 2018 in Hungary, directed by the internationally awarded legendary Pal Sandor.
Also her latest work, the documentary film called “The Amphibious” is now distributed by EMovies Incorporation New Orleans.
From 2016 to 2017 January Fanni performed in numerous concerts with Hungary’s well-known musicians such as Ildiko Keresztes, Csezy, Peter-Szabo Szilvia and others.
From 2017 February Fanni moved to Florida, Miami. She started to work as a solo musician and performs in the Betsy Hotel South Beach, Sherwoods Bistro, on the events of Miami Luxury Design Magazine, Mira Restaurant and so on. She was invited to play with the Fusion Theory band, lead by Thierry Dejean. She is working with the great bassist Kai Sanchez from 2018 April. Also she was honored by receiving an invitation to Arts Garage to perform with such musicians as Armando Gola (bass), Hilario Bell (drums) and Julio Montalvo (trombone).
