This is an a full-time job for me, although I would love it to be. I really I just love to paint and I love to make it happy.

September 1, 2021Mel was wonderful! She was highly professional, communicated well and often and was able to answer all of my questions. She provided services for 2 events for my organization's outdoor events. For the 1st event, it was an outdoor event focused on health. She offered cute vegetables and fruit arts as well as character face painting. The 2nd event was for a "Luau" event. She provided beautiful balloon art as well as awesome facepainting. The parents and clients were extremely happy! I would have Mel come to my events in the future! Events were August 2020 and July 2019.

August 24, 2021Melanie of Facepainting Mel is amazing, fun, hard working, patient and extremely talented! The quality of her work is better than the photos and it is so much fun to watch her work. She has such a variety of difference styles and options for the kids. She really took her time to understand the children and did an amazing job on painting the children's faces or whatever they wanted.
With an addition to facepainting Melanie also does balloon art! All the kids that attended were very happy with the balloons that were made for them.
The kids loved having Melanie it wouldn't had been the same fun without her. She is great with kids and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a face painter!
Will definitely hire Facepainting Mel again for future parties.

Packages are all different and all depend on exactly what you are interested in. I have a great number of services available, including face painting, balloon animals, glitter tattoos, games, and more. It also depends on how many children/participants will be there.
A basic package that would include face painting, balloon animals, temporary tattoos, and games would normally be for about an hour, to an hour and a half for 10-12 kiddos.
-Face painting would be the first activity, along with temporary tattoos at the same time.
-Dancing games would be next, including the cha-cha slide, chicken dance, and more.
-Balloons would be the last part and something for the participants to take home.
This is just a rough drawing of what a basic package would include, but it would depend on the host's wishes.
My name is Melanie and I began face painting in 2015 as a way to make some extra money and quickly realized how much I loved it. I started out in those clunky animated costumes and worked my way up in my best friend's mother's business. As I waited to get into the costumes at parties, I began pumping balloons up and eventually doing hand and cheek paintings when the line was getting long. Eventually, I was sent out on my own to parties, and I started my own business.
I work a couple of different jobs at the moment, and I am getting ready to start my doctorate program in Occupational Therapy. I hope I am able to keep face painting around. There are not too many people in the world that actually enjoy their jobs, but face painting is my favorite job I have :)
My favorite part of face painting is the reaction I get from each kiddo. The way that I am able to turn them into something scary or mythical is incredible to them, and I love when their faces light up! I am so thankful to have the privilege to share my artistic ability with the best community in the world.
Every party must have a signed contract before the party, as well as a 50% nonrefundable deposit to keep the time and slot of the date.
Contracts will thoroughly go through each and every detail about the party, any questions about the contract can be emailed, texted, or called about.
A table and 2 chairs are to be expected at every party. If it is not available, a $10 charge will be put into the contract.
If a party is outside, the painter must be in a shaded, cool area to ensure the entertainer's paints do not melt.
