Evelyn Cook, CPA

Evelyn Cook, CPA, has over 20 years' experience in accounting, tax compliance, tax planning, auditing, and consulting. She has worked with a wide variety of companies through her career, including manufacturers, SEC reporting companies, financial institutions, retail operations, wineries, and agricultural co-ops.
Evelyn has a particular interest in equine-related companies, and as a longtime horse owner and horse enthusiast herself, she's well equipped to advise folks in the horse business. Since 2006, she has been a guest speaker on equine taxes and business management in the Equine Enterprise Management course at UC Davis.
Evelyn has a reputation for being extremely detail oriented and well organized. She's also easy to talk to and explains the sometimes arcane world of tax compliance in a way the average person can understand.
When working with clients, Evelyn's number one goal is to help small and medium businesses learn more every year about how to influence their financial health. As a speaker for your group she will meet with you to determine the financial needs and goals of your business owners and put together a presentation that covers information about the financial areas you are most concerned with.
Evelyn lives in the Roseville, CA area at One Chimney Farm with her Sheltie show dogs. She also keeps a flock of chickens and is the proud owner of Romeo, a dark bay thoroughbred who stands at 16.2 hands. She is a big fan of Apple and owns just about every one of their gadgets, including the iPhone, iPod, and iPad (though she has yet to try the MacBook Air).
Evelyn received her B.S. in Managerial Economics from the University of California, Davis. She has also completed post-graduate courses in accounting at California State University, Sacramento.
Evelyn is a Certified Public Accountant with the State of California.
