Combat Veteran of the U.S. Army, LeLand was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. Throughout his time growing up in challenging environments, playing college football and entering service, there’s not much he hasn’t seen.
In authoring "Growing Up Black", he depicts the diatribe that many young black men and men of color face in the U.S. And how that upbringing can make or break someone based on how they choose to use their experience.

LeLand has spent a great deal of his time helping the youth in the form of high school coaching, and teaching at the middle school level. To this day he still mentors teens as well as adults who are looking to take their life to the next level.

Veteran: LeLand is able to connect with those who battle with PTSD, anxiety and other stressors associated with service and combat, as well as being a successful citizen in the civilian sector.

Fatherhood: Being able to reflect on the lack of consistency of fatherhood, LeLand has forged through that in efforts to empower men to be the father they desired for themselves. In hopes of improving that quality of society.

Purpose/Mindset: As the owner of his business, it is built off following a purpose and helping others do the same. LeLand is able to educate, inspire and motivate an audience to do just that for themselves. Teaching through what is already inside of them and taking their life to new levels.

Being able to lean on the lessons he’s learned as a child raised by a single mother, and adversities that molded him into an honorable veteran and leader. LeLand takes great pride in teaching audiences from the youth setting to corporate world, how to apply step-by-step processes to overcome obstacles and improve their life.
