Ming Ting—known to millions online as Tingman—is an educator, creator, and communicator who has spent his career helping young people find clarity in a world full of pressure and uncertainty. His own story is anything but straightforward: he has served in the army, nearly became a doctor, taught high-school students for 14 years, and continues to be actively involved in his local community and church. Those twists and turns shape the way he speaks: with honesty, humour, and a real understanding of what it means to step into the unknown.
Everything shifted in 2018 when Ming started making YouTube videos about the Rubik’s Cube, discovering a passion he never expected. The puzzle quickly became more than a hobby, as he realised that, just like solving a cube, navigating life happens one intentional step at a time.
Since then, Ming’s YouTube channel has grown to over 1.7 million subscribers, taking him across the world for live shows, collaborations and community events. He currently represents Rubik’s as a brand ambassador and his proudest moment is achieving 2nd in the world at one-handed cube solving. (Ok, it was just in his age-bracket, but he still counts it.)
