BIO - EMILY MARCELLO

Emily Marcello, singer, songwriter, and cellist by way of the Second City, Chicago, IL, is an Atlanta based artist who performs curated, dynamic, and versatile sets across a multitude of musical genres showcasing her breadth and mastery.

Influenced by her Chicago upbringing and love of blues-based compositions, Marcello includes among her musical influences many well-known artists including Amy Winehouse, John Mayer, Sade, Van Morrison, Frank Sinatra, Muddy Waters, and Sheryl Crow. Additionally, Marcello draws influence from various genres including 90’s and 00s alternative and pop music, rock, and bluegrass.

Classically trained on the cello since early adolescence, including extended training at Blue Lake Fine Arts and in-depth instructional guidance by Indiana University Master of Music alumna Dr. Martha Henrikson, Marcello’s experience includes years of performing ecclesiastical recitals, acoustic and rock concerts, and solo events.

In addition to her formal training, Marcello is an ear trained pianist and mezzo soprano vocalist.

Always seeking to connect and entertain the audience, Marcello looks forward to creating new memories with her next performance.
