Elvan is a professional bellydancer in the Santa Barbara Area and has been performing for over 10 years. She was a member of the UCSB Middle Eastern Dance Ensemble, Ya ‘Ayuni and is very active in the Santa Barbara bellydance community.
Elvan specializes in American Cabaret style bellydance. She is also well versed in various folk dance styles, including Greek, Turkish, Classical Persian, Central Asian, Lebanese folk dance (Dabke), and Egyptian folk dance. She has had the opportunity to learn from master teachers Alexandra King, Shareen El Safy, Sahra Saeeda, Karim Nagi, Ruby Beh, and Shahrzad. She continues her training by taking classes and workshops, and she also enjoys other styles of dance, such as hip hop, ballroom, and Samba!
Elvan performs regularly throughout the central coast. She is also a regular performer at Zaytoon Lebanese Restaurant in Santa Barbara.
I have a large collection of Middle Eastern music, from Arabic pop to Turkish pop, as well as classic Egyptian pieces. A typical bellydance set would include 4 to 5 songs, which may also include an "audience interaction" (optional) where I will get you to dance!

Prefer the venue to have a sound system that is appropriate for the performance space. I can also bring my own.
Performance space of 8 feet by 10 feet is preferred. Smaller spaces are possible as well but this will limit the types of props used for the set
A safe space for my personal items.
A room for costume changes if costume change is required
