When you hire Ellis Lens Photography, here's what you can expect from start to finish:
Before your session, I take the time to connect with you personally, whether that's a quick phone call or a few messages back and forth. I want to understand your vision, your comfort level, and what moments matter most to you. No one should feel like a stranger in front of their own photographer.
On the day of your session or event, I arrive early, come fully prepared, and bring a calm, relaxed energy to everything I do. I know how to work with people who are nervous in front of the camera, I'll guide you through poses naturally so nothing ever feels stiff or forced.
After your session you'll receive a private online gallery of professionally edited, warm and golden images delivered within 3 to 5 days for standard sessions. All photos come with digital downloads included so you can print, share, and keep them forever.
Services available for booking include portrait sessions, maternity photography, branding shoots, quinceañeras, graduations, birthdays, celebrations, engagements, and weddings. I serve Fairfield, the Bay Area, Sacramento, and surrounding areas and am available to travel for the right event.

Hi, I'm Felicia, the photographer behind Ellis Lens Photography, based in Fairfield, CA and serving the Bay Area, Sacramento, and surrounding areas.
I picked up a camera in high school and never really put it down. After years of letting others talk me out of pursuing photography as a career, I decided to stop listening and just go for it, and I haven't looked back since.
My style is warm, golden, and unhurried. I specialize in portraits, maternity, branding, events, and weddings. I don't just point a camera at you, I get to know you first, so every photo feels genuinely like you. Some of my favorite moments happen when I turn a random pose into something unexpectedly beautiful, or when a couple's real energy fills the frame in a way no pose ever could.
I'm also proudly LGBTQ+ owned and affirming. Every couple, every family, and every individual deserves to feel completely comfortable and celebrated in front of the camera.
When I'm not shooting I'm rock climbing, chasing waterfalls, or somewhere near the water recharging for the next session.

As a photographer, my technical requirements are minimal, I come fully equipped and ready to work in most environments. Here's what helps me deliver the best results:
Lighting: I work best in natural light settings outdoors or near windows. For indoor events I bring additional lighting equipment as needed. If your venue has specific lighting restrictions please let me know in advance so I can prepare accordingly.
Space: I don't require a dedicated area but having some room to move around freely during events allows me to capture candid and dynamic shots more effectively.
Access: For events I ask for early access to the venue, ideally 15 to 30 minutes before guests arrive, so I can scout the space, find the best angles, and capture detail shots before things get busy.
Weather: I shoot in most weather conditions. Rain, clouds, and even snow can make for beautiful and dramatic photos! For outdoor sessions I always recommend having a backup plan for extreme weather.
Parking: For event coverage having a nearby parking spot is appreciated as I typically carry camera bodies, lenses, and lighting equipment.
