Ellen Warkentine

I am a versatile musician specializing in early jazz ready to sing hard in your speakeasy or sing easy at your cocktail hour! I am available solo for piano/vocals/hot jazz clarinet or as a duo, trio, or ensemble playing early jazz standards and ballads on both clarinet and piano. My repertoire includes jazz standards of the 20s and 30s as well as songs from the swing and big band era. I am happy to play modern tunes and show tunes on request. Favorite gigs have included playing at The Varnish DTLA with The Naughty Doings, The Coney Island Mermaid Parade, and The Great Gatsby night at The Saban. My background is in untraditional music theatre, my passion is in traditional jazz.
