Overview

I am a classically trained singer and I sing in soprano and alto ranges. I perform a wide variety of musical genres, including jazz, opera, light gospel, musical theater, and a wide variety of sacred music. I am available for functions such as church services, memorials, weddings, and concerts; I am also available for fully-staged or concert-style opera productions.

About

Ms. Tatum received her bachelor's degree in music from the University of the Pacific at Stockton, CA; she has studied voice privately with Conrad Immel and Frank Fetta. In addition to voice-over and studio recording, she has been a featured soloist with many organizations, including the University of the Pacific A Cappella Choir, the Foothill Master Chorale, the Southeast Symphony, the Bellflower Symphony, the Pasadena Community Orchestra, and the Los Angeles Bach Festival. Prior to becoming a member of the quartet at First German United Methodist Church (Glendale), she was a long-time staff soloist in Canterbury Choir at All Saints Church (Pasadena). Her recent performances include the role of Harriet Tubman in "Wade in the Water" with Guild Opera Company, Home Alone in Concert at Disney Hall with the Glendale First Singers and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association, and concerts and special services at various southern California churches.

She has performed with Orpheus Lyric Theater, Opera West, the William Grant Still Performing Arts Society, the Redlands Bowl Summer Music Festival, Guild Opera, and in Sojourner at the Hudson Theater Backstage. Her roles include include Sister Rose in Jake Hegge’s Dead Man Walking, Mrs. Gobineau in Menotti's The Medium; First Lady and Pamina in Mozart's The Magic Flute; Micaela in Bizet's Carmen; Clara in Gershwin's Porgy and Bess; Mimi in Puccini's La Boheme; Carmela in William Grant Still’s Costaso; The Mother in Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors; Ida in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Princess Ida; Jean Wittner in Barbara Sherrill's musical Love, Here I Am.

She is a member of SAG-AFTRA and AGMA.
