Here is what you can expect from when you first contact me to when I arrive at your event:
- I pride myself on my work ethic and communication and will likely ask many specifics regarding the sound you're aiming at in the process of booking to ensure it's a good fit
- For special occasions (weddings/showers/funerals/bday parties) I like to know specific "must-hear" songs, artist preferences, vibes - it's my duty to tailor the sound to your situation
- Usually most event hiccups arise not from the music, but from logistics :) I like to know as much about parking/valet/specific location/ power outlets as possible to avoid said hiccups!
- I consider it an honor to participate in your special occasion - music is for everyone and thanks for your consideration <3

A writer, musician, and composer, Eliza is most at home behind the piano. Her extensive repertoire ranges from the Great American Songbook, old-school faves, and modern day classics with a slightly funky touch; she also specializes in French jazz classics, thanks to her fluency in the language. Eliza's gentle, jazzy voice is frequently compared to Karen Carpenter and Linda Ronstadt, and she is known for her warm and approachable energy at the piano.

Thanks so much for considering me for your event! You will find me to be a happy, humble, and hardworking performer; my entire focus is making absolutely certain that you and your guests are happy, engaged, and grooving!

You may see from my reviews that I am very proactive about communication prior to your event; you can expect that I will reach out several times with regard to song choices/preferences, order, set-up, key moments that need highlighting, even helping to emcee when necessary (I have many years of professional public speaking experience as well!). I am keenly attuned to the flow of the event whether it be a wedding or a funeral; there are times when music should be the focus and times where it needs to be subtle/secondary.

Requirements:

You'll see I'm pretty low maintenance: other than agreeing in advance whether or not you have a piano on-site or you'd like me to provide my own keys, you can count on me providing my own amps/sound set-up for smaller events. For larger spaces that require a proper sound crew, rates may vary. Just message me with any questions! :)
Otherwise, I'll simply require:
- a parking spot close to the building where I can unload
- a power source within 8 feet of where you would like me to set up
- a covered/shaded area (if outdoors)
- a "point person" with whom to check in upon arrival/departure
